John Perkins Construction carried out a £2.4 million negotiated contract for a significant residential new build on the outskirts of Bristol.
The state-of-the-art development of this private house, completed over the course of 50 weeks, featured a swimming pool, home office and cinema, as well as extensive landscaping. What’s more, the specification included a grey water recycling system for irrigation and air source heat pumps to use outside air as a heat source for heating and cooling.
Working with the latest building management technology, the project was out to maximise energy efficiency and thereby reduce operating costs. The installation of a KNX intelligent control system meant the client could control, at the touch of an iPad, everything from the swimming pool cover and lights through to the air-conditioning and home cinema.

This was a challenging project which also doubled in size from the outset. But, thanks to the efficiency and flexibility of the John Perkins team, we were only a few weeks over the original deadline. We chose the company because of its solid reputation for project management and high quality workmanship and they did not disappoint.
