John Perkins Construction carried out an £800,000 project to refurbish the existing Red Bus Nursery & Pre-School in Coombe Dingle and construct a new build extension, in order to expand the nursery’s facilities.
This contract followed the highly-successful transformation of Red Bus Nursery’s Downend site by the John Perkins team. The Coombe Dingle project was logistically even more complicated than the Downend project, including the obvious safeguarding challenges.
We undertook the works in four phases, over 45 weeks, and the nursery remained in use throughout. This meant the priority was to keep the site as segregated as possible from nursery staff and children, while upholding exemplary Health and Safety practices.
Despite these complex challenges, the work was finished to a very high standard, on time and on budget.
