We are fortunate to have been recognised by a number of awards bodies over the last few years.
At the prestigious, nationwide Construction Awards of Excellence 2020, JPC was named Building Contractor of the Year: England (Turnover Under £15m), and shortlisted in the same awards scheme in 2022.
Other notable award wins include the 2018 Most Considerate Site (£1m–5m category) accolade, awarded at the Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards.
One of our greatest strengths lies in putting together the right teams for projects, drawing from our highly-experienced staff.
These teams are bolstered by expert guidance from our board, including David Parsons (Director of Pearce Construction and Building Safety Group), and from external advisors, including David Dursley (Regional Manager, Building Safety Group) and Vida Humphreys (Director, Sterling Capital Asset Finance).
The ability to call on a first-rate community of freelancers with specialist skill-sets also gives our business a further depth of knowledge and support for when additional needs arise.
Working on complex, sensitive and ‘live’ sites is a matter of course for us. We consider it one of our strengths.
Our extensive experience of keeping disruption to a minimum, while also upholding excellent Health and Safety during construction works is backed up by our excellent track record with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).
You will note from this graph of our recent CCS evaluations that we have consistently been able to achieve scores in the 39–45 point range (Excellent).
A huge part of the reason we score so highly with the Considerate Constructors Scheme is that we seek to engage with the community on every project.
We do this by conducting site tours, holding workshops for students, and generally inviting local people to participate in the works.
We get involved with the South West England and South Wales communities on a broader basis, particularly through supporting young people.
We continually seek to encourage apprentices in our supply chain, and provide work experience opportunities wherever possible. Our directors also give up their time to attend careers fairs, give school presentations, and conduct mock interviews with local students.
Our Managing Director, Rupert Perkins, sits on CITB Industry Funding Committee, advising on the Skills and Training Fund, and he is part of the Advanced Construction Skills Centre (South Bristol) Steering Group, helping to boost interest in construction careers in the local area and increase the number of pathways into the industry, especially for those most in need of opportunity in the community.
