The news that England is joining Wales and Scotland in lockdown has been a blow for everyone, but John Perkins Construction will continue to operate according to government guidelines. Managing Director, Rupert Perkins, gives an update on how the business is faring and his hopes for 2021:
“Following discussions with the Cabinet Office, the NFB has confirmed that the construction industry will remain open in the coming weeks, as long we operate in a Covid-secure manner. Under this direction, all of John Perkins Construction’s sites will remain operational, meticulously adhering to Covid-safe standards.
“Although 2021 is throwing yet more challenges at us, I have been heartened by the flexibility and adaptability of our team in the face of stormy weather. We are also fortunate to have a good array of opportunities on the horizon, so it is possible to see a brighter future.
“The continuing roll-out of Covid vaccines provides a much-needed ray of hope. I’m optimistic that, as this process continues, the economy will bounce back and we’ll be able to enjoy a sustained period of good trading.
“What we are doing for now is staying strong, supporting each other, and making the best of a difficult situation. Rest assured, we’re here and we’re keeping positive. We’re working really hard for our clients, delivering great projects, and we’ll be back with more updates as 2021 continues.”
